Anoush Shaikh Myers “Noushi”, 92, of Niles, died peacefully Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Her life began June 6, 1932 in Kerman, Iran, one of four children born to Abdoulnaghi Shaikh Mohandes Zand and Farkhondeh Zandi Sheikh Mohandes. She later immigrated to the United States going to Hanover College, where she met and married Robert Alan Myers on January 29, 1956. He survives.

Noushi could often be found reading in her favorite chair in the living room. She spent many hours gardening, freezing and canning and putting meals together for her family. Noushi would sometimes have her boys go into the woods and hunt for grape leaves and have them help her weed her garden. She was an extraordinary cook and was known for her Khoresh Sabzi and Fesenjan. Noushi enjoyed being with family. The fourth of July at her son’s was a favorite time to get together with family. She would always bring her amazing food. Noushi and Robert had many great adventures together. They enjoyed canoeing up north, traveling together with her sister and brother-in-law, to places like Germany, Ireland, England and Spain. They regularly would camp at Spring Mill State Park with friends, where the men would serenade the ladies with the lilt of the Ukulele. As she got older and was less able to cook, she would frequent The Prime Table with her husband Robert. Noushi deeply loved family and would do anything for them.
